Stories of Iceland

I'm bored and sooo not tired and starving...well not starving I think it's just a bored craving...a craving for Walkers salt 'n' vinger crisps...I miss walkers crisps...and caburys chocolate....and good weather...as in 20°c good weather not just sun and 10°c like here....just thought you'd all like to know :P

I just finished my first exam...sports theory...I think it went ok, reckon I got about 50% right so I should get at least a 5....grades are 1-10 instead of A,B,C etc.etc. anyways everyone has an exam tomorrow except me...hehe you see they have their Danish exam but I don't learn Danish hehehe but then I have to do both French and German....which I will take on thursday...first I'll take french a teacher will come get my take me too her office or something, I'll stay there for about 15 mins then she'll take me back to the classroom where I will take my German exam :S

anyway tomorrow I'm goin to get my hair cut....think I'll just have it trimmed....not sure...we were talking about when we went swimming yesterday we said I should shave most my hair of but leave some locks all over the place hehe :P

Well I've just gotten back from swimming...the pool is like 2 minutes walk from the dorm...anyways me, Herdís, Unnur and Sigga spent about 3 hours in the swimming pool! You see it's really nice and sunny today and the swimming pool is outside, and it's got 3 hot tubs, a kiddies pool and what I call the beach cos it's really shallow and slants a bit like a beach...:P any way it was good fun we went on the slides and raced down one...and you know when one person gets on another persons shoulders and another 2 people do the same and the top people wrestle...? well we attempted that... it worked for like 3 seconds first I was the one holding but I laughed so much I couldn't hold her...so we switched...I thought it was ok but she gave up straight away...I must be heavier than I thought! :S and we spent ages in the beach so I actually got a bit of a tan!!! can you believe it?!?! I got a Tan!!!! :D I think that is quite amazing...it's not much of a tan though but it's something right?

I had another wierd dream tonight...I can't remember much except the end where I went to this Burger King place that I have dreamt of before...cept tonight I killed this man that sat outside..I just hit him round the head with something and he fell down bleeding! :S then I went in and rang for the police and an ambulance...:S but don't worry I'm not some kind of psyco killer....why do I dream such strange things? :S

Well there's been a change in my plans, AGAIN!!! god my boss is starting to piss me off! he can't make up his mind when he wants me to start work! but anyway he can't change his mind again cos we have booked the flight...I will be coming to England June 21st and I leave July 3rd...which unfortunatly means that I can't go to Alton Towers with Livi and the rest of you! :'( unless...you want to change the date which you go;) hehe :P no it's ok... I will just have to go by myself...:S

oh but the stress! My exams start tomorrow! and if I fail one I have to either go to another school or take the year again which I refuse to do! the kids in year 11 over here are really annoying...I'd hate to have be in a class with them:S I'm not sure if i'm going to pass any of my exams except my english one cos I have a bit of a bad habbit of not concentrating or doing any of the homework...:S but I'm lucky because I live in England I get some extra time as I wasn't brought up in Iceland....it's only 15 mins though! so wish me luck!!! I'll tell you all how it goes...

I have to go now because I'm really hungry and it's time for lunch!

Have any of you seen the bedshaped video? Don't you feel sorry for that man? he's homeless and then when he's just innocently walking around he gets really scared and ends up locking himself in a toilet! and then when he finally comes out again he thinks everything is ok and sees those people sat in the window and then all of a sudden they turn bad!!! :O I feel so sorry for him!!!awww but bless the cat that brings him some clothes...I think it's so cute!!!
Oh the video for Starlight...you must have seen it! it might seem a bit old now but anyway...you know it's the one with the alien Dj...anyways in the end his little friend gets taken away! he looks so sad and lonely after he is taken away! :'(
god I need to get a life...I feel sorry for cartoon characters in music videos!!! that is sooo sad Salka, get a life!!! and know i'm talkins...or should I say writing...to myself...what is wrong with me?!?!?:S

Have you ever wondered if your dreams mean something? Coz I always have really wierd dreams...I had one the other day...it was that it was my friends birthday and she had rented a hall for the day for her birthday party....guess what I bought her....a Barbie Doll! and eveyone thought it was a great present! not only that but I insisted it wore a green dress and went all over the place looking fo a green dress for the Barbie Doll!!! :S and then I went home and I knocked!and Orri answered and all his football team was there except it was like twice the size it should be! any ways I went up to my room which was in the loft and some of my friends were there and we started talking then the boys started to shout at us to get out attention so we looked out the window and there was Orri's football team...not Orri though (thankfully!)...in a huge hot tub and they were telling us to come join them...then all of a sudden I was back at the party!...Random! Do you think it means anything?
They say if you fall asleep thinking of something you dream about the opposite...I don't think thats true do you?!? unless....I've dreamt twice that I was pregnant....maybe then I fell asleep thinking that I didn't want to be pregnant....no I still think thats stupid....oh well....

I just found this site called post secret...it's a blog site that someone has created where you write your secret on a post card and send it in anonymously...then it gets published on the site...some of the things are really sad and touchong...others just random...some are a bit awful really...i'll give you some examples...

These aren't just plain postcards either....they have pictures that illuminate the secret (does that make sense? I forgot the word :S) but wny way go have a look at it.

Yay!!! We went on another ice cream trip today instead of going to PE :D I was so glad...I HATE doing pe!!! I took my camera with me and took some pictures which I will put on my picture site now...hehe it was a very enjoyable trip! :D
there is this crazy dog that always barks at us when we walk past except today it didn't :S so we were trying to get it look happy and maybe even bark...and Bogga the "genius" went kssksskss..you now that sound you make when your trying to get a cat to come to you....I told her thought that would...especially since the dog wasn't a cat! only then did she realise her mistake...hehe...:P and I got an shake in a specially kind of glass it's really cool!!! :D:D:D I took some pics of it...
then as we were walking up to the school Erna dropped hers!!! :O (she got one too) and I told her off for that...then when we were taking our shoes of I was trying to get my scarf off and....I dropped mine! :S the lid fell off and everything...luckily I had finished it but there was still some left...you know those drops you can never get...and that all dripped on the floor :S and we just burst out laughing....and of course everyone there turned around and stared at me...cos my friends had left me!!!Thanks!!!any way I went and wiped it up so it's ok....and the glass didn't break don't worry!

Well I've had a preety busy weekend...first on thursday (it's not really the weekend but anyway...:P)it was the semi'finals for the eurovision song contest...one had to watch and see wether Iceland would get into the finals...which unfortunately we didn't but it's ok...we'll do better next year :)
Then one Friday I went round to my friend Auður's house where me, auður, Theodóra, Hrefna, Guðni, Albert and Hafliði were meeting up and making pizza and watching some movies, which was very fun...the pizzas didn´t really turn out how they were supposed to...the girls pizza was ok except the bottom of the bottom was rock hard :S and the boys pizza was half raw:S but they were nice so...:D we'd deciede that we would have a shrek "marathon" but when we had finished the first movie we went to put sherk 2 in and there was no sherk 2 :S and it was no where to be found! :S so in the end we watched Ice Age...which was fun...but not shrek:S
and yesterday was the Eurovision Song Contest finals which is always a bbig thing ;) well in Iceland it is...I know probably none of you watched it!:P but anyway I went back to Auðurs house and me, Auður and Theodóra watched it together....we weren't too pleased that Greece won...it wasn't really our favorite song...but any way....for anyone who might have watched it...didn't you think the two boys from Latvia were cute?!? they were adorable!!! :D

well today in double sociology we asked our teacher if we could have a icecream trip in stead of a lesson...there is an ice cream shop about 5 minutes walk from the school where the bedst ice cream in Iceland is sold...it's famous all over the country...any way this is done alot at my school so when ever a class comes the teacher gets a free ice cream and obviously our teacher couldn't take the temptation coz at first he said no then after a bit he changed his mind so we went to get some ice cream and went back to school in time for our next lesson....I had german which I have with a different class so I sat there eating ice cream while they just boiled in their seats coz it was really hot in the classroom..hehe it was fun seeing the jealousy on their faces :P
oh and at lunch while I was waiting for Erna to put her shoes on I read some notices on the board and one of them was a notice for a apartment to rent for the summer and on the advert it listed all the fixtures included in the apartment...one of them being a washing machine which I read as sports machine...:S don't really kinow how I did that :P

Last night was sat up in my bed on the computer just wasting time coz I could'nt get sleep coz yesterday I finished school at one and I went up to my room went to bed and was messing around on my computer and I fell asleep and slept for like 2 hours, which meant I couldn't get to sleep last night!:S
anyways as I was saying I was on the computer when my friend added me to a conversation...there was 5 of us; me, Auður, Theodóra, Albert and Guðni! but the conversation was going so fast I hardly had chance to read what was written and then reply...coz when I replyed they had started to talk about something else!!! I was so confused...I think the most I added to the conversation was...what?what are we talking about?!?I'm so confused!!!!!:S and they just ignored me:( no one could be bothered to tell me what we were talking about so I stop "talking" and just read...I managed to follow the conversation much better after that:P anyways we are all going to meet up and have some pizza and watch some videos....and that was the main topic of conversation...what we were going to watch and what should be on the pizza etc. etc.
but we weren't getting anywhere so we decided to meet up today at school in long break...the thing is that there are to lessons before that and my class had no lessons then...the teacher said that we could have a lie in!:D but that meant I had to get to school at 9:40 instead of 10 :S but that was OK and I am so proud I was very good....I woke up at 8 and went down to breakfast, then I went back up to my room and went to sleep again...I set my alarm for 9:15 but I kinda slept trough it and woke up at 9:40 but it's ok it takes my about 5 mins to get ready! any from this experience I learned 2 things.... and they are these

• If you are going to talk to more then one person on the internet make sure it's not more than 3...if it's more you'll get totally lost and not understand what is going on! :S
• If you go to breakfast and then go back to sleep don't eat a melon coz you'll wake up with a really weird taste in you mouth and it's really not nice at all! :S

Yay!!! I got my phone back this morning! :D Well actually I got it back yesterday but didn't realise:P the person who was going to bring it to me obviously came when I was having my dinner and went up to my room and because I wasn't there they just walked in and left it on the side! I wonder what they would have done had it been the wrong room... :-S you see it went insane and I had to send it to England to get a new brain but instead I got a brand new phone instead...exactly the same, just a new one...anyways I have noticed so many differences in the this phone and the other one that I had...this one is so much better!!! :D It's fun discovering new things about my phone:D

The ghost started to change channels again yesterday...just before I was going to sleep as well and it wasn't just twice like last time...it did it over and over again and really fast and i tried to change it back to normal but it didn't work so in the end I just turned the TV off but I was really freaked out and didn't dare go to sleep just yet so I put The Sweetest Thing on and half way through that I nearly fell asleep but then I heard a wierd noise like someone was in the bathroom:S and I got really scared again and couldn't get to sleep....so I stayed awake and realised I was hungry so at half 4 in the morning I went down and bought something ot eat and drink...went up to my room and put Nemo on....I finally managed to fall asleep at about 6 this morning but woke up around half 7 when my room mate came I should have gotten up then to get ready for school but lessons didn't start til 9 so I went back to sleep and ended up sleepin til 12...but its ok coz I just missed German and French...but I was so scared :S I nearly went to get my friend and ask her to sleep in my room with me! :P so if anyone knows what I should do...either to get rid of the ghost or to make it stop scarying me...please please tell me!

Finally this weekend is coming to a end....I never thought I would ever be glad that the weekend was finished but I am...and it's a long weekend so we had today of school....also because of this just about everyone that I know has gone home because most of my friends live somwhere else and are just renting a dorm room like me...and to top it of my phone went mad about a week and a half ago my phone went mad so I had to send it home to get a new brain and I don't get it till tonight so when ever I was bored this weekend I couldn't call anybody and no-one could get in touch with me so I have litrally been roting away up in my room...I was so bored I started to tidy the room and to pack the clothes I won't be using this summer in a suitcase to take to the apartment....I forgot you son't know...my mum and dad have just bought an apartment so I'll be living there next year :D I went to get the keys on friday...it's not really big but it's really nice and I can't wait to move in and start cooking and stuff....so if anyone (Rach) is planning on coming to Iceland you will have to come stay with me :D I've got a garden and everything :D

Everyone I'd just like to say sorry about the colours coz I'm experimenting with different templates and colours so it'll keep changing for a while til I find the right ones...

Well I've finally created a site where you can come and read some of my random stories from Iceland! :D I was just looking at my leaving book and realised how much I miss you all and how much I miss Iceland....but there is one thing I noticed...just about everyone that wrote in my leaving book mentioned my random stories....are they really that random...I didn't realise this till just now when I read what everyone wrote :P well anyway thanks for listening to them...I don't know why I tell people all these stories...but then again I son't seem to be able to think before I speak... :S
So how is everybody? I hope you're all doing good...I speak to some people on MSN but i haven't heard from a lot of you for a while....hopefully I'll see you when I come home this summer...I'm only staying for two weeks but thats the longest I will have been in England for since....last summer....thats nearly a year....I can't believe it's nearly a year since I moved!!! but when I come I will have my drivers license so if anyone wants a lift when I'm in England I will gladly give them a ride :D but you're not allowed to laugh at me if I start driving on the wrong side of the road coz it's different in England and Iceland... :S I might not be back til just before 10th July...don't worry Livi I'll (probs) most definatly be back in time to go to Alton Towers with you :D I can't wait... I just spoke to my mum and my family is at Alton Towers today... I want to go!!!! :'( but I'll be going later... I'm sure I can wait...actually I don't have much choice do I? :P
So I don't write to much and you all get bored and stop reading I'm just gonna tell you all a short story....
Well I think there is a ghost in my room, and it follows me to school!!! Laugh if you want but this is serious!!! Sometimes the door of my room just opens, theres no one there, and it stays open for a bit then closes, and once when I was at school, me and Katla were listening to my CD player when we heard a beep that comes when you turn it down and I looked at the little screen thing (do you know what I mean) and I saw that the volume was being turned down til we heard nothing....and it wasn't me or Katla, then on Friday (you all know it was Friday 13th :S) well I sat in my room watching TV when it change channels to AV so I changed it back, then it happened again...so I went out the room and wsa goin to watch it the "living" room (don't know what to call it) but someone was already there watching something else...so I went back to my room and when I walked in the TV had changed back to what I had been trying to watch...and it can't have been that I was sat on the remote coz you can't change to AV useing the remote...you have to either turn the video off and the back on or turn the TV off then back on again....!!! :O
Well I'm going to take a shower so...
